Variety, Ideas |
| Description: |
I'm a believer in diversity. The bringing together of different lives, experiences, beliefs, and opinions is a recipe for all sorts of new and interesting ideas.
I've asked a group of my friends to participate with me in this process by posting once a week to this blog. Although all of my friends are interesting people, the group I picked had one thing in common - they all have opinions and they aren't afraid to share them. In addition to that, I tried to pick friends who were quite different from each other. Some are artists, some are students, some are from countries other than the United States, some are young, some are more experienced (not old). They work or have worked in a variety of fields. Some are mothers and fathers and some are not.
I've also asked them to invite one other person whom I do not know to be an author as well. I can't wait to meet these new people.
The most exciting thing about social media is the opportunity to meet and interact with other interesting people you might never have met otherwise. Several of the people I have invited I have never met in person, but I value their friendship nonetheless.
I hope you, readers and authors, will benefit from this mixing of voices, and I hope you will participate and add your thoughts as well. |
