Happy Friday to you out there!! Nice to have the weekend upon us once again, eh? I hope everything is well in your orbit. We are all healthy and well--last weekend, the tadpole picked up a bit of that fevery-coughing bug, but now is fine...seems to be going around most families around here! We're making sure to drink lots of fresh orange juice and taking our vitamins to keep things at bay...And keeping busy with all of the various activities going on in our family (music, theatre, handball, work, batukada (street percussion--we've got a gig coming up in a couple weeks, playing in our city's parade), and the regular comings and goings at
Pinch me if I'm dreaming...
So perhaps you have already seen these clips on Facebook or Youtube, but I hadn't watched them yet.And considering in 1979 I was a mere 10 years old, I don't have much memory of this having occurred. But seeing it now, it just blows my mind. I know they say "history repeats itself", but this is, well...pathetic...given that I think we ought to have learned something the first time round. What a blast we all had, working with our gesso, acrylic paint, stencils, spray inks, trying out the techniques and gettin' our hands all good and messy...!! For many participants, it was the first time they had had the opportunity to experience art journaling, and I think all were able to get the feel for just what makes it so much fun...and so additiv
Gracias! Merci! Thank you!
Hello there! How'ya doin'?  It's not often that I share the same post on both my blogs (in fact it's exactly what I try to avoid), however today warrants it: I wanted to share some of the photos of our workshops this past weekend with the fabulously talented Dina Wakley.  WOW, what fun we all had! We sprayed to our inky heart's content! We learned some new cute, cool and quaint ways to make mini-albums, and we let our creative selves go with Dina's signature techniques and style. Not to mention all the fun we had in the Art Journaling
if you like photography, here's a film sure to inspire...!
"Narrated by Dustin Hoffman, VISUAL ACOUSTICS celebrates the life and career of Julius Shulman, the worlds greatest architectural photographer, whose images brought modern architecture to the American mainstream. Shulman, who passed away this year, captured the work of nearly every major modern and progressive architect since the 1930s including Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner, and Frank Gehry. His images epitomized the singular beauty of Southern Californias modernist movement and brought its iconic structures to the attention of the general public. This
