aki (autumn). These leaves are just turning color now in Kamakura. Not a wonderfully interesting photo, I admit, but the colors and patterns are fun.

Dandelions, or 蒲公英 (たんぽぽ) are a favorite of children the world over and can be quite beautiful when shot close up.

With the first snowfall here in Hachimantai city, I can’t help but remember the wonderful summer we had. Here is a fleeting memory of it. This photo was taken near the end of summer.

“What on earth” (rough translation). Walking through Kamakura (this is on the Kinokuniya/City Hall crossroads behind the station), I saw a rickshaw being pulled. Nothing unusual there – this is a tourist area and there are lots of tourist rickshaws (very popular – not just in Kamakura). And a young lady and a… what? it’s not… yes it is. It’s someone dressed up
