Yay!
Dick Jauron got fired!
Let’s celebrate by watching the cutest commercial in the world.
I like cute things, and I’m not afraid to say it.
Deep Thoughts, with Kate Handy
I made a little joke a few post ago about the book “The Power of Now”. I don’t know if you guys ever read that book, but it was one of those “meaning of life” books that caught on with the general populace (with a little help from Oprah, I believe) a few years ago. I read it in 2005-ish, and since I was very young back then (a mere 30!), the book really left an impression on me. The premise is that time is an illusion and that the only thing that is real is this exact moment that we are experiencing. Everything besides “now” is just a construct of the mind. We remember the past through a mental prism that supports th

Holy shintski, you guys! THE SABRES ARE NEVER LOSING AGAIN!
Little known fact: Beethoven 8 is a lot more fun to play when you already know the Sabres beat Philly on the road that night.

Granted, they could start sucking at any moment, and they’ve largely been playing crappy teams, BUT STILL. I think everyone who is complaining about the Sabres n
That Game Was An Ugly Weirdy
The Sabres looked alternately pathetic (the power play is very, very bad), and heroic (the 5 minute penalty kill at the end was FOXY. That’s F to the O to the X to the Y. Foxy) tonight. Toss in a terrifying hit by Clarke MacArthur (of all people), and it made for a strange and edgy game.
Seeing Reddox lying prone on the ice was unsettling to say the least, but once he was up, and it was time to watch the penalty kill, there was this strange, serious vibe in the arena. I’ve not experienced anything like that at a hockey game before. It felt like everyone in the arena simultaneously rolled up their sleeves and said, “Okay. Let
