Information

Blog Name: TheBrokenBrownEgg
Url: http://www.thebrokenbrownegg.blogspot.com/
Language: English
Topics: Infertility, Awareness, African American Women
Description: The Broken Brown Egg was "born" (little infertility humor) out of a need. As an African American woman, facing one of the most private and painful points in my life, I was completely floored to find that there seemed to be no one in my community willing to be open about infertility. This is not to say that infertility doesn't affect all races or ethnicities, (and it hurts just the same, believe me) but to not find any resources, and to be a part of an ethnic group which regards infertility as a taboo topic, made it evident that a void was definitely present. The goal of the BBE is to start the dialogue and encourage African American women to talk about this topic so that women who are dealing with infertility won't feel so alone, through humor, activism, and hope.

Dear Thanksgiving
Dear Thanksgiving, I would love to have a great day with you.  However, I feel there are some general guidelines I should provide you with to ensure that we have a good meeting today. Please try and

No joke, I've had two family members try and give me their grand kids because they felt that their daughter's weren't ready. It can also backfire because then everytime you walk past a baby aisle or hear someone announce their pregnancy, concerned
You skurred? Don't be skurred.
The subconscious is a cruel little deviant.  But she usually has a point.  So, anywho, I dreamed about this test for some reason, so I can only assume that it is something I'm supposed to share with you guys.  I present to you, the dreaded HSG test.  One of the many preemptive strikes some RE's or OB/GYN's will take is the hysterosalpingogram test.  If this is a step that your doctor has
Mrs.Tiye? Present.
Yes, I know, I've been absent...insert ashamed face here....don't have one?  here you go   Okay, so I had a lot to say, but in rare form, I didn't have the words to get them out. I wanted this blog to be more about information and support than anything else, but I've felt the urge to ease it into some other directions.  I will try my damnedest to stay on topic...but everything is
Flashback to puberty.
Can I just say...this is soo much worse than the feeling young girls get when all the other girls have gotten their period?
