Author Kitty Sutton's Cherokee Ancestry - Just Another Work of Fiction

Kitty Sutton is the author of a series of books she calls "Mysteries from the Trail of Tears." She claims she has uncovered a hidden history of the Cherokee Nation after the Trail of Tears...
Kitty Sutton
Kitty  I am sorry that you do not think that the research of hidden history is important. I think that it is. First of all I do not claim to be a card carrying Cherokee. My husband is. I can only claim what my grandmother claimed. Unfortunately, your own research is off. I refuse to give you any information about my family and our discoveries, but suffice it to say that I have found my ancestor on the Dawes Rolls. But you seem to think that you cannot be a Cherokee unless you have a card. I am here to say that the Dawes Rolls is a U.S. Government program and has nothing to do with who is a Native American or who is Cherokee. I do not appreciate you plastering my family on your blog, but I can say that to the best of my own knowledge I have never lied in anything that I said. There are hundreds of thousands of Cherokee people out there who can't get a card for whatever reason. It does not mean they are not Cherokee. You seem to forget that the Dawes Rolls was a scheme to rob the Cherokee Nation of their rightful land. It opened the way for white settlers to populate what was promised to the Cherokee in perpetuity. There were many instances where Cherokees were denied placement on the rolls just because the interviewer did not like the look of them. It was a crooked system and still is. Be that as it may, I have not warranted this attack. You neither asked me any questions or approached me in any way before you spouted your hate and discontent. I don't think you care if you are wrong or right, you just want to hurt someone or make them feel bad about themselves so that you can feel good about yourself. To show that my research is valid my books are respected among historians and academics. They are also accepted by the U.S. National Park Services. You have maligned my good name and if you do not stop, I will approach my lawyer to take care of this. Just because you sit at your computer and spout hate does not make you anonymous.
