Description: Authentic Christianity, for both sides of the brain. Time Out is an 8-10 minute podcast containing: A reading of Christian doctrine, usually from the Bible itself A short collect A hymn or two, usually from the Lutheran Service Book. Time Out encourages listeners to read and hear the Bible in context. Sometimes preachers, especially on TV, take a verse or two and completely warp the meaning to what they want to say. A lot of errors can be avoided if we see the context surrounding a passage. The show also encourages listeners to sing hymns that tell us about Jesus and give us Law and Gospel. Many songs billed as “Christian” could be sung about any god, because the song doesn’t give any specific information about God. Time Out tries to choose hymns that teach the faith and refresh listeners in everyday Christian life.
