Peanut Festival & the Farm
On Saturday, I took two of my favorite boys to the Peanut Festival in Floresville, where we met up with my Grandpa and Grand-Ann.  The boys had a good time at the festival, but came alive when we got out to the farm.  They cracked me up by calling Grandpa “Grandpa-Ann” and by their excitement when the llamas started fighting.  Here are some pictures from our time together!

Time Flies
I’m about six months from turning thirty.  Over the last few years, I’ve had this list called my “30-by-30″: an itemization of things I want to experience or accomplish by the time I turn thirty.  So much about my life and my priorities have changed since I first created this list, so after much thought, I’ve decided to revise it.  Please ignore all previous versions.  30. Nashvegas, Here I Come!
Normally, I am really annoyed by anyone mentioning Christmas before Thanksgiving (or Halloween, for that matter)… but seeing this pumps me up for Christmas.  I think I’m finally going to see Behold the Lamb of God at the Ryman in Nashville this year!
The Whos and the Whats
On the heels of what has been unequivocally the hardest six months of my adult life, Justin told me something that I never knew.  It is not sinful to cut people off and end friendships.   Am I the only one who didn’t know that already?  Maybe it is a product of my upbringing and the roles that my family filled in our tiny little churches, but I honestly didn’t know this.  I’ve always operated under the idea that to love all people meant being willing to die to self and walk with them, no matter who they are or what their station in life may be.  While that is true, taking it too far means exposing oneself to influences that are counter-productive
