Toronto Dancer Natalli Reznik to help Janet Jackson open American Music Awards
On November 22, Natalli Reznik, a Toronto dancer and instructor who was a finalist in Season 1 of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, will join Janet Jackson on stage at the 2009 American Music Awards. Also dancing with Janet will be Nico Archambeault, So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 1 winner. They will be in Janet Jackson’s musical medley that will open the show, airing live from Los Angeles.

The Battle of the Blades recently glided into top television ratings as CBC paired up former Olympic figure skaters with former NHL hockey players and pitted them against each other in a competition to raise money for charity. The participants’ highly competitive natures resulted in some incredible skating at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens and spectators scrambled for coveted tickets that were selling on the street for over $100. Fringe Festival to Centralize in Mirvish Village
Toronto Fringe is catching up to Winnipeg, Edmonton and even Montreal in offering a communal space and added entertainment to create a festival as opposed to a series of showcases in unrelated theatres. This July, the uncensored performances by some of Toronto’s most talented performers will be centralized around the Bloor and Bathurst area due to a new partnership with Mirvish Enterprises and the Randolph Centre for the Arts.

Dancers from across the country who have been watching from their living rooms now have their chance to participate in this popular show that averages nearly 1.5 million viewers.
