Better Get Crackin' Only A Few Tix Left For Saturday
  What's good? About 150 tickets remain for Saturday's game against Syracuse at Rentschler Field. Looks like that one is going to be a sellout. Good deal. - Watched the UConn-ND game on DVD a couple of times last night and have a few quick observations: First it is a must have for any and all UConn football fans. I don't know where'd you get them though. If you really want to put in perspective how impressive the win was for the UConn program think about the scout teams UConn and Notre Dame go against. UConn News: Winter Wear And Toy Drives Coming Up
  Here's the official release from the school   UConn Athletic Communications --- November 25, 2009 - Upcoming SAAC Drives STORRS, Conn. (November 24, 2009) - The University of Connecticut Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will hold a pair of "drives" at upcoming Husky sporting events in December. There will be a "Winter Wear Drive" at the Saturday, Dec. 5 football game vs. South Florida at Rentschler Field as fans can donate new or gently-used winter coats, gloves, mittens, scarves and hats. The items will be donated to The Cornerstone Foundation in Rockville and the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry in Willimantic.&
The "Finisher" Talks About The Hit At ND; More News and Notes
Here's a few notes from today's football media day on campus and let's start with Greg Loyd - a.k.a. The Finisher - and a little chat about the spilling tackle he made on Notre Dame running back Armando Allen at the goalline at one point in the Huskies' 33-30 double overtime win at Notre Dame Stadium Saturday.   You guys know Lloyd is a vicious hitter and he's had some beauties this year - to which Dion Lewis (Pittsburgh) and Robert Griffin (Baylor) can surely attest. The stick he put on Allen, however, was one for the ages and probably had an effect on him carrying the ball rest of the way. "Oh yeah this one definitely, definitely tops it," Lloyd
