| Description: | UNOH Bangkok is a blog written by all the UNOH Bangkok team. In this blog we’ve tried to bring you some of our reflections, rants and ramblings that come from living and serving Christ here in Klong Toey slum, Bangkok. The Bangkok team is 5 of the slum’s 80,000 residents. Ash and Anji Barker live in the notorious Jet Sip Rye part of the slum, Chris and Jodie MacCartney live under the expressway on Rom Gow and Rod Sheard in the swamp area of Lok 4 near the train line. We work in partnership in each of these 3 neighbourhoods of the slum with the Klong Toey Community Center, Ta Rua Church, Rom Gow Community Center, Helping Hands Project and Klong Toey Handicrafts. Hopefully some of the laughs and tears we encounter with our neighbours will make it through to this blog to give a voice from the urban poor living here in Klong Toey slum. |
