doomed dancehall.. Jukeboxx's Rainforest Riddim!
Just... wow. This is a riddim to be reckoned with. I found it via It's After The End Of The World, where Lady Saw's Get Over It got posted, and it's awesome but man this beat is something and deserves to be listened to unsullied. Dunno what it is about it, it's just a seriously atmospheric, sinister piece of music.

wrought iron rhymes... Copius!
I've been meaning to blog about my boy COPIUS for a while.
Check out this video of him & his band live last weekend:
Copius is a Sheffield based producer & MC who's been making music for a few years now, and man he's coming on in leaps and bounds, the band looks awesome can't wait to see them live in the flesh! This tune gets the live hip hop thing just right, sticking to a tight repetetive groove - not getting too carried away with the instrumentation but still making the most of it.

CHARITY SHOPPING! featuring Jeru the Damaja, Kam, Ronny Jordan, Carina Round, The Bucket Band &
Charity shops are of course the best. Here's Velodrome 2000 saying as much in their cutesy indie-pop tones:
Velodrome 2000 - Charity Shopping
If you're from Sheffield this is either a blast from the past or a vital bit of 90s music history...
That's not what this post is about though!
Most of the music I actually buy comes from charity shops so after a particularly successful rummage this weekend I thought maybe I should start sharing my finds here.
