Blue Tape Kills
I attended my first walk-through tonight without blue tape! 5-7 days before closing, developers and on-site customer satisfaction managers will schedule a walk-through with a new buyer. It is usually called a “blue tape” or a “punch list” final walkthrough. Typically, you will point out scuffs, scratches, chips and blemishes that need to be fixed prior to moving in. In the course of 8 years, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Thankfully, just days before Thanksgiving and only a week away from closing we had one tonight that was perfect. It took less than 20 minutes and we were out the door with a smile on our face. No nicks, dings, sc
