USF Tampa Library Showcases Resources in USF Unstoppable Event
Amid green and
gold festivity and fanfare, the University of South Florida launched the public
phase of the most ambitious, comprehensive campaign in the university’s 53-year
history at a gala held last Tuesday evening in the USF Marshall Student Center. Called
USF: Unstoppable, the campaign’s goal
is to raise $600 million. Judy
Scholarly and Digital Textbook Publishing in the Digital Age
Open access is a new approach to the distribution and
publishing of books. Authors can retain their copyright through a Creative Commons copyright
license, yet make their books freely available with nonrestrictive licenses
that enable faculty to customize a textbook for their course. Students can
download a textbook at no cost or order
Poynter News and Recent Library Programs at Poynter Corner
Poynter News: The Poynter Library will be closed until 2:00 pm on Friday, October 30 for an event as part of the "USF Unstoppable" campaign kickoff at USF St. Petersburg. Dedication of the new Harborwalk area and the Science and Technology Building will take place earlier that day and will require the closure of some parking lots. Please plan accordingly if your travels bring you to USFSP.
First SUL Cataloging Summit
The
first SUL Cataloging Summit was held at USF on October 5 in the Grace Allen
