Description: Our tracklists try to discover and “promote” mainly unsigned bands. This is so not because they are the only ones that are of interest to us, but because they are the most hidden. They are the ones with no marketing agency, no manager, no structures devoted to their promotion. These bands often demonstrate to have more ideas and originality than the signed ones. These are the bands with no tight commercial mechanisms and no heavy conditioning which may trap or limit them. There’s so much romanticism in being free and unknown!

A very special girl
I have long been looking for a female artist to write about, and today I'm happy to report that my eyes (and my ears!) have finally focused on a very special girl from Portland. Anomie Belle (aka Toby Campbell) started her musical cereer as a classical violinist. But over the years she became an artist of many talents... and she's now playing and singing with a growing number of musicians all arounf the world.
Christophe Marc and Le Galago: good music from France

a day in the soup
Dear UtopicMusic friends.... Today, before going to play with my band (oh yeah...it happens to me sometimes, too!) I decided to share with you a simply delicious song. It's titled A Day in the soup, from a Norvegian band called Ping. This histrionic gang is an old acquaintance of our blog, but recently they sent me a lot of music to listen to. And so, here i am! Today is a gray day. It rains, it stops raining, it's raining aga
Danish music from UM archive
Dear friends, today we'll turn back our head and look at two guys we talked about some time ago. Now it's time for them to become part of our random playlist. Our archive has still much good stuff to upload, and sounds from all over the world will go on enriching our "radio". This time we'll let you listen to Death Valley Sleepers and Jeremy Sparrow, a project and an artist from Denmark which are linked one to each other. You can find all the infoes about them in the p
