Clear Your Skype History
I love Skype. It lets me sit in one place and talk with people in another place. Whether the person I need to talk with is in the other room or in another country, it doesn’t matter. It just works.
That said, there is one thing about Skype that bothers me. By default, Skype saves everything forever. For a screen recorder like me, that can leave me open for some embarrassing screen moments.
There is a fix: Clear your history. It is actually a two step process: Set Skype to not save the history and then clear the history itself. The process itself isn’t hard. It’s finding where to do it that gets complicated.
How do you learn what to do to clear the h
Seeing double: Tweets show twice on Facebook
For months, I have had a problem with my Twitter updates showing up multiple times on my Facebook pages. It drives friends nuts, splits conversations, and makes me a look like a spammer. (Spammer? How? Duplicate content on my news and profile every time I tweet.)
Today, I think I finally figured out (and fixed) the last piece of the problem. I was allowing three Facebook applications to update my page with my tweets:

Buy real estate online with Monopoly City Streets
If you could buy any street in the world, which one would you buy? Would you buy all the streets in your neighborhood? Or would you buy streets in a variety of locations?
To me, these questions expose the social research side of the online “game” Monopoly City Streets. I’ve been playing since the day they launched and enjoy it… somewhat. I like the interface. I like the ability to suddenly have the cash to buy anyplace in the world I want.
The game was launched as a marketing campaign for the new board game of the same name. The game is played by buying streets based off of Google maps. Once you have bought streets, you can build on them.

Aero Shake
Do you use Windows 7 on your PC? If you do, I’ve got a feature for you to check out: Aero Shake. Shake lets you clear your open windows down to the task bar with a simple shake of your mouse.
Check out this screencast to see it in action.

I love doing screencasts. They are a great way to share tips and ideas. This one was made with TechSmith’s Jing. I’m willing to make more of them, so if you want to see something specific, let me know!
Win the lottery
@mindlessfluff - a true lottery win!
Queen Geek asked me yesterday (via the comments) to research how we can both hit the lottery. I wish I knew how to pick the winning numbers, but I am just not lucky in that way.
I am not lucky in many ways. I don’t win prizes from contests. I don’t win many door prizes. I’m not the best, or the prettiest, or the most talented. Some would say, I got a rough hand in life.
I try instead to focus on the a
