Green Bay Packers Need Change - Urgently
Well, I’m sorry, but I can’t stay silent any longer. I’ve been a “card carrying” Packers fan for 15 years or more and even through the Ray Rhodes debacle (disaster) I don’t think I’ve ever been as frustrated as I am now. You know we want to discuss the O-line, but let’s face it – it’s been degrading even since the Mike Sherman days. The O-line: What a mess! If there isn’t a personnel change soon on the offensive line – and I mean importing some new (better) talent – Aaron Rodgers is going to get a pasting which makes David Carr look like he only got slightly mangled in Houston! Is it too early to call for the heads of erstwhile architects Ted
ACTA is still “out there”
Those who have stumbled upon this blog before will be well aware of my hatred for what is brewing in the field of International copyright. The so-called “Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement” (ACTA - summary) is bad news and it’s coming to a country near you – and soon. The recent meeting in Seoul, Korea wrapped up the next chapter in IP with regards to the Internet – yes, the thing you are using right this very minute – and it’s not looking good. Michael Geist (Canadian Uber Law Professor) has
Off Again
Well, folks, no sooner had I returned from a nice overseas jaunt in August, but I’m off yet again. This time I’m off to the Asia-Pacific region to meet up with an old friend, and I won’t be back in Terra Australis until mid-November. Those of you who are interested in my travels can check out my travel blog, where I routinely add photos and journal entries while I’m abroad. If you don’t know where the blog is, just shoot me an email and I’ll happily forward the URI to you. Things have been relatively quite the past few weeks (which begs the question, why have I been so slack in posting new articles?) – my sister was married in Canberra the weekend before l
Madden 2010 – A Quick Review
Hi, well as per my annual ritual I’ve purchased Madden 2010. I’ve been buying Madden on PC, PS2 and 360 since 1995 and recently I started to question whether I should continue to do so in the face of lagging game quality, copious amounts of plainly obvious bugs and a general lack of support for end users. Well, in my hours’ play with the new game tonight, I’m still firmly on the fence. Allow me to elaborate. What I normally do when playing a brand new version of Madden is to kick off a new franchise. I like my games to count, so why bother with an exhibition match? Pre season in Franchise is a good way of getting the feel of the new game. So I picked
Last Minute Reminder: SQL Code Camp 2009
Q: What is SQL Code Camp? A: ““SQL Down Under Code Camp is an annual community-driven event for SQL Server professionals. Each year, well over a hundred DBAs and Developers come together to learn from each other and to network. It is held in October at the Wagga Wagga campus of our friends at Charles Sturt University.” This is an last minute reminder that SQL Code Camp (Australia) is on this weekend (the 10th and 11th of October) in Wagga (NSW). This year’s presentation/agenda has been posted
