Last week I was down for the count - In bed sick for a week.   So what is a girl to do watch the food network of course!!  I was partially awake when Rachel Ray came on the tube and this particular recipe peeked my interest.   I finally am feeling almost human and felt like it was time to get back among the living and back in the kitchen!!  OH MY this one did not dissapoint.  Not only was it easy to make but the taste  was amazing and talk about comfort food.  It was incredible and I will be  making this one again.    Turkey Chili and Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie Ingredients 2 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, 4-5 potatoes, peeled and cubed

Is the universe trying to tell me something?
For the last couple of years, I have seen flocks of white birds flying together over the Santa Clarita Valley. Sometimes on the golf course, sometimes over in the Old Town Newhall area. I’ve been curious about what they were … but then … Last week - Tuesday to be precise - there was a white pigeon when I went to do pilates at Pilates Teck. Karena commented that she/he was so pretty and asked me to take a photo of it with my phone. As I opened the door, it did not fly away but circled a bit and stopped by the bench on her front porch. It posed and I took the picture.

I am Being Challenged Like Never Before - RESULTS

I love Improv Everywhere - they ROCK!
Their latest project was called Subway Yearbook Photos. Basically, they told everyone who got on the 6 train in NYC that they were hired by MTA to do a yearbook. How fun is THAT? I bet being set up on there was totally fun. Of course, some people where a bit hesitant but once they saw others getting into it and having fun with it .. they sat down to get their yearbook picture done too.
