Puppy Power!
When the days are stressful there's nothing like a couple of cute pooches to make you feel happy. I couldn't get a photo of Phoebe because she is so afraid of the camera that she hid in the house. Zeke hates the camera too, but is such a good boy that he'll sit for a couple shots.I tried recording them wrestling, but as soon as they saw the camera they took off in opposite directions. Babies.

NYC Marathon 2009
The NYC Marathon was today - my favorite NY day of the year. Having it the day after Halloween was a little tough in the morning, but luckily Colleen and I started walking from Greenpoint to Williamsburg just in time to catch the pro runners and the wheelchair competitors. We walked all the way to N. 8th and parked ourselves for a couple hours and cheered on the runners.Colleen's brother-in-law was running and we spotted him so he was able to come over and say a quick hello. Then we met up with Brian at Juliette and had an amazing brunch.

Mug Shots
I love coffee mugs. I especially covet vintage Fire King mugs. I'm also very particular about shape. I prefer an oval shape that allows me to tuck my thumb into the handle and wrap my hand around the body of the mug.(Wow, I'm seriously channeling Andy Rooney today. Let's just roll with it.)I also don't really like clear glass mugs - it makes me feel weird to use them for hot drinks.Pedestal mugs are very nice to look at, but I'm afraid they are going to tip over and they aren't as comfortable to hold.I'm not a big fan of kitschy coffee mugs, such as ones th
