Well, they beat me to it. I’ve been intending to do a series of step-by-step instructions exactly like this for Windows 7 – how to’s for all kinds of things. Ah, the best laid plans… I’ve looked through a couple of these tutorials, and they’re very well constructed and written, augmented with very good screen captures to illustrate the processes. I think my own versions of these tutorials, and other ones I have planned, can add to these documents, so I’m planning on proceeding with my original plans, when time permits. Really! How To Do

Interesting review of Windows 7, primarily comparing the new OS to the launch of Windows Vista, and its perceived faults and poor performance in the marketplace. While Vista may not have been a top seller for Microsoft, I believe to a large extent it got a bad rap. Yes, there were some hardware driver issues, and yes it did require decently fast hardware to run well. Windows 7, by comparison, runs rings around Vista. I’ve installed it on a 5-year old system, an older Dell Inspiron 8600, with a 1.3GHz Centrino processor, 64MB video card – and it performed very well. Of course, I ran Vista for nearly a year on this same system, with not many complaints. But.. 7 is
