Image Gallery – German Car Show & Shine
Many thanks to the Mercedes Benz Car Club of NSW for such a great day. I was privelidged to head out to the show with a large group of BMW’s; all owned by one lucky man. Images are more important, so I will worry about words later. Enjoy!
That’s more like it – BMW M3 GTS
BMW’s fabled and celebrated M-division is under new supervision these days, in the form of previous Mini brand cheif Karl Segler. It may be said that hot-hatch nancy boy has no place in somewhere like M-division, that he is too soft, but the lastest M-creation would beg to differ.
The Mini is a hugely successful brand, it’s a clear class leader across countless markets around the globe. It taps into that unmistakable rich history that the Mini brand has, and does it clearly and simply. The mini is built for a clear, direct purpose. Honest, cheerful, and swagloads of fun.

The 5.0 litre block from the ‘normal’ M5 is used, however M-Division stroke it out to 5.5 litres and add some interesting tidbits like a carbon-fibre intake and a secondary oil-cooler. Although I cannot give you a specific power output, expect it to be ridiculously huge; something well over 400kw.
Bob Lutz throws down the Cadillac CTS-V gauntlet
In a very honourable and valiant gesture, GM powerbroker Bob Lutz has invited all comers in a vehicular battle of performance.
After inviting anyone to reigister as a competition against the 2009 Caddy CTS-V, 130 people have signed up to the cause. However, GM will be picky with who comes through, with a final list expected to be somewhere between five and ten participants.
This, GM says, is for the cause of equality, so they can get the right balance of competition on a level playing field.
The supercharged 6.2 litre V8 that powers the CTS-V is loosely based upon the LS9 from the Corvette ZR1, so power is definately not this issue. How the whole packages comes t
