odd things and prints
i've always adored people who have the ability of recognizing the right kind of odd things, or even better a bunch of odd things, working them into a chic natural looking mix. the lady photographed by the sartorialist definately masters what i'm talking about. i also realized that i have a problem with prints mixed with non-prints but when they are put together there's a possibility of creating amazing masterpieces. make sense?

what to do with a jason wu fw09 dress in case mrs.o isn't your style? first i'd cut the jacket looking part and continue with the feather skirt (sorry jason). now an easy thing would be to go all/mostly black but i was tempted to use only warm tones - brown, beige and gold and making it not too caramel with white body. i actually would had gone for ragged jean jacket to have some twist but couldn't find a proper picture..knit jacket topshop - two tone necklace balenciaga - body splendid - shoes givenchy - catwalk pic jason wu via style.com

gilles et dada // walking through light
these photos are from a gilles et dada photoshoot, i'd call it a lookbook but correct me if i'm wrong. i love the fact that there are young finnish brands doing there advertising in an interesting and in this case diy-kind of way. a simple idea, a used idea perhaps but what isn't nowadays? i love it and am particularly exited about the louis vuitton ss2010-like afro..photography federico cabrera (of gilles et dada)
