Last month, photographer Tambako the Jaguar followed up on the 5-month-old cubs and produced this series of stunning shots. Cheetahs are unique among cats both for their exceptional speed (up to 75 mph) and inability to climb trees.

Tokyo's Ueno Zoo's Got a Gorilla
Meet Japan’s latest animal star. She’s snuggling up to her 26-year-old mother, "Momoko." The baby was born to the Western Lowland Gorilla clan at the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. She now weighs about four pounds.

Happy Thanks"gibbon"
Three-week-old gibbon baby 'Walli' drinks bottled milk in the arms of surrogate mother Christina Schneider in the zoo in Schwerin, Germany yesterday, November 25th. The baby was not accepted by its mother and therefore has to be raised by hand. 'Walli' has to be fed every two hours. The the hand raising will take about six months.
